New Academic Year Kicks Off with Mass of the Holy Spirit

The A.J. Palumbo Center was packed for the Mass of the Holy Spirit, which serves as the traditional start to the new academic year, bringing together students, faculty, staff and friends.

Con-celebrating the Aug. 24 Mass were the Most Rev. David A. Zubik, D.D., bishop of Pittsburgh, and the Rev. Jeffrey Duaime, C.S.Sp., provincial of the congregation of the Holy Spirit, with campus members of the Spiritan Congregation.

President Charles J. Dougherty and the Rev. Sean M. Hogan, C.S.Sp., executive vice president for student life, added welcoming remarks.
