It’s Never Too Late—Or Early—To Plan for Retirement

Planning for retirement—whether it is happening in four years or 40 years—can be one of the biggest financial challenges people face throughout their lives. To help University staff and faculty meet this challenge, Duquesne and MetLife will offer Retirewise®, a free, four-part series of retirement planning and education workshops.

Designed to help employees of all ages clarify their retirement goals and identify the steps they need to achieve them, the program will cover a broad spectrum of financial and retirement related issues, including budgeting, investment principles, Social Security and estate planning.

Each session will be held at noon in Room 205 of the Power Center on consecutive Wednesdays starting on Sept. 24. The two-hour sessions will cover:

  • Building the Foundation (Sept. 24)
  • Creating and Managing Wealth (Oct. 1)
  • Establishing Your Retirement Income Stream (Oct. 8)
  • Making the Most of What You Have (Oct. 15).

Non-exempt employees may use their lunch hour for the first half of the session, and the second hour will be approved University training.

Registration is required. Space is limited. For additional information, email or call the benefits office at 412.396.5041.
