Admissions Renovations Scheduled for August Completion

A newly renovated Office of Admissions will greet prospective students and their families when they arrive for campus visits this fall.

Construction began in May for the updated space, which incorporates the University’s traditions and history of excellence into a welcoming space that offers visitors a glimpse of the contemporary Duquesne experience.

The renovation includes:

  • The addition of new, large monitors encased in wood-paneled walls along the main corridor that will showcase artistic images of the Duquesne experience
  • A new reception space with lounge seating
  • A hospitality suite with built-in kitchenette for drinks and snacks
  • Updated restrooms.

“The new space will bring prospective students and their families beyond the elevator into a welcoming reception area and hospitality suite instead of limiting their seating options to sitting in the corridor of Old Main,” said Terri Leasure, project manager.

Renovations to the various areas will be completed through the end of August, with some smaller projects and furniture delivery occurring in early September.
