Dr. Erik Garrett, associate professor of communication and rhetorical studies, presented a talk titled The Immigrant as Stranger: Strangeness, Proximity and Fecundity in Levinas at the Conference for International Research in Emmanuel Levinas at the University of Toulouse in France in July. Garrett also gave a closing lecture to the Department of Sociology and the Social Science Archive at the University of Konstanz in Germany in July.
