Grants Received

Funds totaling $427,214 were recently received by the School of Pharmacy and the School of Education.

  • Dr. Jamie McConaha, associate professor of pharmacy practice, School of Pharmacy, $3,000, from Tobacco Free Allegheny Inc., to support the Courage to Quit Tobacco cessation classes.
  • Dr. Peter Wildfong, associate professor of pharmaceutics, and Dr. Ira Buckner, associate professor of pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, $283,932, from AbbVie Incorporated, to be used to support a collaborative research project between AbbVie and the University.
  • Dr. Melissa Boston, associate professor of instruction and leadership in education, and Dr. Carol Park, associate professor of educational foundations and leadership, School of Education, $140,282, a subcontract from the Educational Development Center from a National Science Foundation Grant, to be used for public service. This brings the four-year total of the grant to $506,828.
