City Water Advisory Still in Effect

UPDATE: The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority officially lifted this advisory on Thursday, Feb. 2.

As you may know, on Jan. 31 the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) issued a precautionary flush and boil water advisory for portions of the city, including Duquesne’s campus.

Since the advisory was issued, the University has provided bottled water to resident students both last night and earlier this afternoon, with more deliveries expected later tonight. Commuter students and employees are asked to bring their own drinking water to campus.

Updates on water distribution on campus will be provided to students via email and on Facebook and Twitter. Additional information about the water alert can be found on the PWSA website at: http://pgh2o.com/ or at: www.duq.edu/news/water-alert.
