Human Rights Film Series to Present ‘Time to Choose’ and ‘Homestretch’

The University’s 10th annual Human Rights Film Series, For the Sake of Humanity, continues with free screenings of Time to Choose and The Homestretch.

Time to Choose, which reveals the breadth of the climate challenge, the available solutions and the people working to save the planet, will be screened tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 2. Following the film, Carnegie Mellon University Visiting Researcher Dr. Patricia DeMarco, president of DeMarco & Associates, will speak briefly and answer questions.

The series next screening, The Homestretch, is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8. This documentary follows three homeless teens fighting to stay in school, graduate and build a future after being abandoned at an early age. After the screening, Three Rivers Youth (TRY) President and Chief Executive Officer Peggy Harris will discuss homelessness and the work TRY does to provide care and support for youth from troubled backgrounds.
