Name Change for Center for the Catholic Intellectual Tradition

Duquesne’s Center for the Catholic Intellectual Tradition has been re-named the Center for Catholic Faith and Culture. The center, first established in 2012, will continue its mission to promote and advance the Catholic intellectual tradition across the entire spectrum of the University.

“In addition to our ongoing investment in Duquesne’s own engagement with the Catholic intellectual tradition, the center is increasingly supporting public-facing scholarship intended for broader audiences,” said Dr. Darlene Weaver, director of the Center for Catholic Faith and Culture. “The new name is more ‘user-friendly’ and better reflects our confidence that Catholic ideas and ideals can fund viable responses to pressing social and cultural issues.”
