Dr. Joan Such Lockhart, clinical professor in the School of Nursing, recently received an award in the 29^th annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence for a journal article she co-wrote for the American Journal of Critical Care Nurses titled Living With Dying in the PICU. The article provides insight into complex issues of caring for dying children and the children’s families from the perspective of nurses in pediatric intensive care units.
