Grants Received

Funds totaling $351,090 were recently received by the School of Pharmacy, the School of Law, the School of Education, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Program for Academic Excellence.

• Dr. Jelena M. Janjic, associate professor of pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, $152,000, from the U.S. Air Force, for A Targeted, Local, Non-Opioid Therapeutic Strategy for Mitigation, Modulation and Management of Trauma Induced Neuropathic Pain.
• Tiffany Sizemore, assistant professor of clinical legal skills, School of Law, and Dr. Tammy Hughes, professor and chair of counseling, psychology and special education, School of Education, $74,190, from the Pittsburgh Foundation, for Improving Representation for Youth.
• Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, $500, from the AARP Foundation, for the Work for Yourself @ 50+ program.
• Program for Academic Excellence, $124,400, from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, to continue its programs. Dr. Judith Griggs, director of the Learning Skills Center, will administer the award.
