‘Dig Pink!’ with Women’s Volleyball to Support Breast Cancer Research & Awareness

The women’s volleyball team is hosting its 9th annual Dig Pink! Fundraising Campaign & Rally to raise money for The Side-Out Foundation and to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to purchase a Dig Pink! T-shirt for $15 and wear pink to cheer on the team at their Saturday, Oct. 21, match against La Salle. Game time is 4 p.m., and attendance is free.

To purchase a shirt, contact Assistant Volleyball Coach Amber Kaufman at kaufmana@duq.edu or 412.396.4031. Donations can also be made directly to the team’s Dig Pink campaign website. T-shirt proceeds and donations will benefit clinical trials focused on stage four breast cancer, the least-funded area of breast cancer research.

The Dig Pink! Rally is a national fundraising effort hosted by The Side-Out Foundation, an organization within the volleyball community that funds breast cancer research and coaches young athletes in teamwork, leadership and perseverance.
