Class of 2017 Graduating at Winter Commencement This Friday

Nearly 400 Duquesne students will graduate this week at the 2017 Winter Commencement ceremony.

President Ken Gormley will confer degrees upon the graduating students this Friday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. in the A.J. Palumbo Center.

In addition, Pittsburgh Penguins President and Chief Executive Officer David Morehouse will be awarded an honorary Doctorate of Business Leadership degree during the ceremony. Morehouse has been an integral part of the Penguins’ success, helping the team to secure a new arena deal and win three Stanley Cups during his tenure. He also reshaped the Penguins’ image through innovative branding, fan relations, community interaction, corporate outreach and social media engagement.

Winter Commencement will be preceded by a 9 a.m. Baccalaureate Mass in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. The ceremony will be broadcast live via webcast.
