Grants Received

Funds totaling $126,595 were recently received by the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

• McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, $50,000, from the Phillip H. and Betty L. Wimmer Family Foundation, for the Faculty Enrichment Program. Dr. James Swindal, dean of the McAnulty College, will administer the award.
• Dr. Eva Simms, professor of psychology, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, $4,900, from the Heinz Endowments passed through the Allegheny County Health Department, for a joint project between Duquesne University, Neighborhood Allies and The UrbanKind Institute. The project strengthens the way providers of youth after-school and summer programs interact and work with children who have been victims and witnesses of violence.
• SBDC, $71,695, from the Small Business Administration on a subcontract from the University of Pennsylvania, for Pennsylvania SBDC Portable Assistance Program.
