Reminder: Loogman Grant Applications Due This Friday

Full-time faculty are reminded that applications for the Rev. Alphons Loogman, C.S.Sp., Faculty Research Grants are due this Friday, March 16.

The Center for African Studies will award two Loogman grants of $6,000 each that may be used to support a portion of a multi-phase research project. The grants competition is open to all full-time faculty working in any academic discipline at the University.

The grants—named for a former Duquesne Swahili Spiritan/professor and co-founder of the African Studies program—is a campus-wide internal funding opportunity intended to support scholarly research and creative endeavors that reflect the University’s strategic commitment to a closer relationship with the nations and peoples of Africa.

Grant award winners will be announced on Friday, April 13.
