Panel to Discuss the Role of Media In the Medical Marijuana Debate
As the debate about medical marijuana continues to unfold, Duquesne’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will host a panel discussion about the media’s role in shaping the public’s perceptions of marijuana and other drugs.
Marijuana and Media: Covering Cannabis Culture and Medical Marijuana will take place on Monday, March 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 104 of College Hall.
Panelists include Denver Post reporter Noelle Phillips; practicing criminal defense attorney Patrick K. Nightingale; and Jennifer Salamon, special projects and communications director at the Autism Connection of Pennsylvania.
The event was developed to spark discussions about the media’s role in marijuana coverage as the state of Pennsylvania moves forward with medical dispensaries.
