What have Dr. Tammy L Hughes and Tiffany Sizemore been up to?

Dr. Tammy L Hughes, professor and chair of counseling, psychology and special education, and Tiffany Sizemore, assistant professor of clinical legal skills, recently testified before a legislative panel at State Rep. Dan Miller’s 5^th Annual Disability Awareness Summit held March 22-23 in Pittsburgh.

The two provided testimony to a panel on the needed legal reforms to Pennsylvania’s Juvenile Act, which provides for the treatment and rehabilitation of young people charged with offenses. Hughes identified the need to add screening services and specific rehabilitative treatments. Sizemore identified the changes required to the act regarding training, intake and diversion of 42 Pa. C.S.A. §6301(2) and 42 Pa. C.S.A. §6301(3) of disabled youth.
