Funds totaling $74,037 were recently received by the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, the Biomedical Engineering Program, the School of Nursing and the Center for Community-Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR).

  • Dr. Jennie Schulze, assistant professor of political science, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, an $8,335 Faculty Development Fund award, for City of Bridges: Receiving Refugees in Pittsburgh.
  • Dr. John Viator, director of the biomedical engineering program, $2,000, from PhotoPhage Systems LLC, to support the design and testing of the Sponsors technology.
  • Dr. Michael Deem, assistant professor of nursing, School of Nursing, a $7,702 Faculty Development Fund award, for Nurses’ Perspectives on Patient Dismissal After Parental Refusal of Childhood Immunizations.
  • Dr. Jessica Mann, director of CETR, $56,000, from the A.J. Sigisumunda Palumbo Charitable Trust, to support the Community Engaged Scholars Program.
