Duquesne University Receives Second Cigna Well-Being Award

Duquesne University has been honored a second time as a Cigna Well-Being awardee. The honor recognizes organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the physical and emotional health of employees through a workplace wellness program. The award was presented on at Cigna’s June 14 summit meeting, an annual event held for its customers.

“We are tremendously pleased that Cigna has chosen to honor Duquesne University with this award, which recognizes the diligent and creative work of our benefits office and our partners in the Center for Pharmacy Care,” said John Greeno, assistant vice president and chief human resources officer.

Health and wellness are an integral part of the campus culture. Employees are offered a variety of programs such as physical activity classes, wellness incentives, blood pressure screenings and smoking cessation programs to encourage healthy choices.

Duquesne University first received the award in 2017.
