Women’s Executive Leadership Program Focuses on Transforming Careers
Registration is open for the 2018-2019 Women’s Executive Leadership (WEL) program, designed for middle- to senior-level women in business who want to enhance their leadership skills, create positive change and drive innovation in the workplace.
This executive education program from the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business features a series of two-day training modules held from September 2018 through March 2019. Led by Elisabet Rodriguez Dennehy, author and internationally known consultant, and WEL co-creator Angela Arrington, the modules provide high-impact learning opportunities such as executive forums, one-on-one coaching and experiential activities on topics such as the global marketplace and negotiation skills.
“The Women’s Executive Leadership Program, now in its 12th year, provides an opportunity for women to engage in a series of high-impact training designed to enhance and cultivate their leadership abilities,” said Erinn Ummer, program manager for executive education in the business school. “In combination with a series of executive coaching sessions, participants sharpen their skills leading to higher levels of effectiveness in both their professional and personal lives. Additionally, graduates leave with a support network of program alumni that they can rely on throughout their careers.”
Past WEL participants have represented organizations such as UPMC Health Plan, EQT, Westinghouse and Giant Eagle.
