Sexual Assault, #MeToo Movement to Be Discussed at Upcoming Seminar

An upcoming Forensic Friday seminar at Duquesne will focus on the #MeToo movement, societal concepts of sexual assault and legal consent.

Hosted by the Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law, Defining Sexual Assault and Consent in the #MeToo Era will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the Charles J. Dougherty Ballroom in the Power Center.

Experts from various disciplines, including law, nursing and psychology, among others, will address the pursuit of justice for sexual assault survivors and efforts to enhance public safety.

Forensic Fridays seminars are offered both on site and online. This program is approved for 6 hours of substantive continuing legal education credit and 5.5 hours of continuing education credits in nursing, psychology and social work.
