Donations Being Accepted for Annual Turkey Drive

Members of the campus community are reminded that they can contribute to the 13th annual Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) Turkey Drive, which provides local disadvantaged families with turkey dinners for Thanksgiving.

The ODI is accepting monetary donations through Friday, Nov. 9. A $30 donation can provide a turkey dinner for a family of four. Donations can be dropped off at the ODI office in Room 106 of the Union. University departments also may make donations via an account transfer.

To date, more than 2,400 turkey dinners have been provided to families through the annual turkey drive at Duquesne.

Faculty and staff volunteers also are needed to help assemble the turkey dinner packages from 4 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the Public Safety Building as well as deliver them on Saturday, Nov. 10, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

For more information or to sign up for the dinner prep or deliveries, contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at 412.396.1117 or satterwhitea@duq.edu.
