Annual Walk Honors Breast Cancer Survivors, Raises Funds and Awareness

Nearly 100 participants, including six breast cancer survivors, gathered last week for the ninth annual Walk to End Breast Cancer.

The two-mile campus walk raised $1,000 for the University’s United Way Campaign. The funds were designated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Making Strides through the American Cancer Society.

The Oct. 18 event was co-sponsored by the University and the Theta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
