More Than 700 Expected at 20th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast
The 20th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at Duquesne will host more than 700 guests on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Union Ballroom.
Considered to be one of the largest Veterans Day breakfasts in Pennsylvania, this yearly event brings together veterans who served in WWII to those who served in recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dr. Todd DePastino, founder and executive director of the Veterans Breakfast Club, give the keynote address at the event. More than 30,000 people have participated in the Veterans Breakfast Club’s program and activities over the past 10 years. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to sharing veterans’ stories with the public. DePastino also is author of the award-winning book Bill Mauldin: A Life Up Front and six other books.
Guests enjoy a meal together, honor those who have served and listen to and share inspiring stories.
