CCFC Hosting Community Partner Visit to Latino Family Center

As part of its annual Won’t You Be My Neighbor event, the Center for Catholic Faith and Culture is hosting a visit to its University-community partner the Latino Family Center.

Faculty and staff are asked to RSVP online by Wednesday, March 27, to attend Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Building Authentic Relationships in the Community, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A bus providing transportation to and from the Latino Family Center will leave from Union Circle at 11:15 a.m.

The Latino Family Center is a nonprofit that helps Latino families throughout Allegheny County assimilate into life in the United States while remaining connected to each other and their own cultural traditions. The nonprofit is celebrating its 10th year of service.

Participants in Won’t You Be My Neighbor will have the opportunity to meet with staff, tour the agency and learn about two of the center’s primary initiatives: Parents as Teachers Home Visiting Program and Immigrant Services and Connections.

A box lunch also will be provided for participants. Space is limited. Visit www.duq.edu/neighbor2019 to RSVP.
