Grants Received

Funds totaling $22,377 were recently received by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the School of Pharmacy and the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences.

• SBDC, $4,572, from the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, to support the ENGAGE! Program. Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, will administer the award.
• SBDC, $2,292, from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, to support the ENGAGE! Program. Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, will administer the award.
• Rehana Leak, associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences, School of Pharmacy, $13,513, from the American Heart Association passed through the University of Pittsburgh, for Dopamine Systems and Rehabilitation Treatments for Improving Neurorecovery Among Cardiac Arrest Survivors.
• Brandon Hoenig, biological sciences doctoral student, and Dr. Brian Tevelline, a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, BSNES, $2,000, from the National Aviary, for Dietary Shifts Over the Annual Cycle of a Neotropical Migratory Songbird. Brady Porter, associate professor of biological sciences, will administer the award.
