Red Masquers’ ‘A Little Night Music’ to Feature Music by Stephen Sondheim

The Red Masquers’ upcoming stage production will feature a romantic musical showcasing music and lyrics by Tony award-winner Stephen Sondheim, including the well-known Send in the Clowns.

A Little Night Music, based on the book by Hugh Wheeler, follows the romantic lives of several couples and how their dilemmas appear to be happily resolved in the course of a summer night as it “smiles” three times—first on the young, second on fools and third on the old.

Led by Director of Theater Arts John E. Lane Jr., A Little Night Music will be performed Thursday, April 4, through Sunday, April 7, and Thursday, April 11, through Sunday, April 14. Except for Sunday matinees, which begin at 2 p.m., performances begin at 8 p.m. in the Genesius Theater.

Tickets can be purchased online for $16.50 for general admission, $11.50 for senior citizens and $6.50 for non-Duquesne students or at the door.
