Open enrollment allows benefits-eligible employees time to review and make changes to their benefit options, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, and make voluntary selections for the upcoming 2019-2020 plan year. Selections made during the open enrollment period will be valid from July 1, 2019, until June 30, 2020.

As a reminder, flexible spending accounts and purchased vacation days do not carry over to the following year. Employees must make these selections each year during the open enrollment period.

The 2019-2020 workbook detailing benefit information will be mailed to every full-time employee, and it will be available online starting Wednesday, April 17. Employees and their spouses are encouraged to review the range of available benefits, including all updates noted on page 2 of the workbook.

Registration is open for information sessions about the Cigna and UPMC medical plans and the University’s Wellness in Motion program. Eligible attendees will earn Wellness in Motion dollars. Registration is open at MyLEAD in DORI.

Benefits office staff and University-sponsored vendors will be available to answer employees’ questions at the annual Benefits Fair, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Power Center ballroom.

Employees who cannot attend the Benefits Fair or an information session can schedule an individual meeting with a member of the benefits team by calling 412.396.5106.
