Registration Open for School of Law’s Artificial Intelligence Conference
The School of Law is sponsoring a two-day conference focused on artificial intelligence (AI) to help law school graduates understand the ways in which intelligent systems can streamline work and enhance their careers.
Artificial Intelligence: Thinking About Law, Law Practice and Legal Education will be held Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, at the law school. Jan M. Levine, director of legal research, and Law Professor Wesley M. Oliver, associate dean for faculty scholarship and director of the Criminal Justice program, are hosting the conference.
Conference topics address AI and law practice, policy and legal education with presenters representing firms, institutions and organizations such as:
- Center of AI and Patent Analysis, Carnegie Mellon University
- Texas Tech University School of Law Library
- The Indian Society of International Law
- The University of Akron School of Law.
In addition to Levine and Oliver, Duquesne presenters at the conference include Provost Dr. David Dausey, Assistant Legal Skills Professor Ashley London, Assistant Law Professor Kate Norton, Paralegal Institute Director Virginia Zaccari and Computer Science Professor Dr. Patrick Juola.
