The 21st annual Entrepreneurs Growth and Networking Conference will be held Thursday, June 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Duquesne Union. This year’s conference features 12 growth-driving workshops, three breakout sessions and a trade show.

“The new economy presents both opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs,” Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC, said. “Take time to attend and learn how you can capitalize on emerging technologies and business trends to grow your business and harness the opportunities.”

Mark F. DeSantis, chief executive officer of RoadBotics and an executive in residence at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, will deliver the morning keynote address at 9 a.m. on How to Create Something from Nothing: Never Give Up!

Bill Molyneaux, vice president and co-owner of Molyneaux Tile Carpet Wood, will join Melissa Molyneaux McFarland, chief operating officer at the company, to present Leverage Your Team for Success at the 12:30 p.m. luncheon.

“This year’s keynote speakers represent accomplished, growing businesses in the key sectors of the economy—technology and consumer/commercial products,” McKinney said. “They’ll share experiences and advice that have helped to propel them and fuel their journey to success.”

Conference participants can learn how to achieve “hockey stick” growth, boost sales, leverage social media, raise money and start/grow a business. Workshop hosts include experts and entrepreneurs who will offer numerous ideas on growing a business. Among the topics to be addressed are pricing for greater profits, raising money for growth, and selling to government and global markets.
