Gumberg Library to Honor Distinguished Music Professor with Special Exhibit

Gumberg Library will host a special display to honor Organ and Sacred Music Professor Dr. Ann Labounsky Steele on the 50th anniversary of her teaching in the Mary Pappert School of Music.

The Ann Labounsky Steele 50-Year Jubilee Celebration and Sacred Music Archives display will highlight the rich archives of sacred music brought to the University through Steele’s efforts.

The exhibit, scheduled to coincide with Steele’s anniversary, will be displayed from Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Aug. 30, in the 4th floor Popular Reading Room at Gumberg Library.

Light refreshments will be provided at a reception Aug. 30. Additional details on the exhibit are forthcoming.
