Newly endowed chairs, professors who have taught at Duquesne for 25 years, recipients of the President’s Faculty Awards and new inductees into the University’s Research Hall of Fame were among those recognized at an annual reception hosted by President Ken Gormley on Sept. 17

The following were installed in endowed positions:

  • Robert P. Sroufe, Jr., Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, (renewed), Thomas J. and Marie C. Murrin Chair in Global Competitiveness
  • Janie Harden Fritz, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, William Patrick Power, C.S.Sp. Endowed Chair in Academic Leadership

  • Rachel Whitcomb, School of Music, Excellence in Teaching

Regina T. Harbourne, John G. Rangos, Sr. School of Health Sciences, and Benedict J. Kolber, Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, are the latest Research Hall of Fame inductees.
