What have Drs. Tammy Hughes and Chris O’Neil been up to?
Dr. Tammy Hughes, professor of counseling, psychology and special education, is working with two graduate students in the Academic Institute, which is the school for juveniles being tried as adults in the Allegheny County Jail. The program was recently featured on NPR.
Dr. Chris O’Neil, professor of pharmacy practice and assistant dean of curricular development and interprofessional education, has been selected by the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) to receive the Armon Neel Senior Care Pharmacist Award. This peer-to-peer award recognizes a senior care pharmacy practitioner who contributes significantly to the ASCP’s goals and consistently exemplifies the “senior care pharmacist,” defined as a pharmacist who provides expert advice on the use of medications to individuals and older adults wherever they live. O’Neil will be presented with the award during the ASCP’s Richard Berman Leadership Awards reception Thursday, Nov. 7, in Grapevine, Texas.
