The choir was selected through a highly competitive national audition process. The conference will be held from Wednesday, Nov. 6, through Friday, Nov. 8, in College Park, Md.

Under the direction of Director of Choral Activities Dr. Caron Daley, Voices of Spirit comprises undergraduate students in music education, performance, therapy and technology at the Mary Pappert School of Music.

“These students are incredibly motivated, and this performance will be a capstone experience,” Daley said. “Performing at a conference of this stature is truly a once-in-a-college-career opportunity.”

The National Collegiate Choral Organization was formed in 2005 to serve collegiate choral conductors and choral programs and to promote the highest level of choral artistry in universities and colleges.

Additionally, Voices of Spirit will tour Canada (Ontario and Quebec) from Friday, Feb. 28, through Wednesday, March 4. This marks the choir’s first international tour in more than a decade. Students will perform in some of Canada’s most renowned venues in Toronto and Montreal.
