The PPA is a professional membership organization of more than 2,300 pharmacists and pharmacy students in the state. Each year, the PPA honors a Pennsylvania pharmacy school for its efforts in advocacy and government relations during the past year.

According to the PPA, the School of Pharmacy had a major impact on the PPA’s legislative day, during which students hosted two health screenings and visited 33 state legislators. The school also completed the Government Relations Advocacy for Student Pharmacists program and held a variety of other activities to raise awareness of work done by pharmacists to enhance patient care and public health in Pennsylvania.

The School of Pharmacy was presented with a plaque and $200 during the Leadership and Awards Dinner Sept. 21 at the PPA 2019 Annual Conference held at Seven Springs resort.
