Additional Rangos Prizes Announced

Due to the success of the Rangos Prize initiative, John G. Rangos Sr. has provided additional awards for the current academic year.

Developed to engage faculty and students in shaping the University’s emerging curriculum, the John G. Rangos, Sr. Prize for Faculty and Students initiative gives applicants the opportunity to create proposals for new courses, course materials, pedagogical approaches and academic initiatives.

Presently in year two of this initiative, three $5,000 prizes are slated to be awarded to implement the most promising student and faculty initiatives from year one. In addition, two student prizes of $1,000 each are to be awarded to foster new ideas similar to those in year one.

Thanks to Rangos’ generosity, 10 more Rangos Prizes—five for students and five for faculty, in the amount of $1,000 each—are available pursuant to the same rules that applied last year.
