Funds totaling $605,925 were recently received by the Office of Research, Office of Community Engagement, the School of Pharmacy and the School of Education.
- Christine Pollock (PI), Office of Research, and William Generett, Office of Community Engagement, $499,628, from the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service, to assist the Daisy Wilson Artist Community with the physical preservation necessary to develop the August Wilson House site as an American treasure.
- Jennifer Elliott and Dr. Suzanne Higginbotham, School of Pharmacy, $96,297, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention passed through the Allegheny County Health Department, for Live Well Allegheny: Lifting Wellness for African Americans in Allegheny County.
- Darius Prier and Dr. Cindy Walker, School of Education, $10,000, from the PNC Charitable Trust McKinney Charitable Foundation, to support Project Hope, a project that sensitizes and informs educational leaders and pre-services on the challenges confronting K-12 students in homelessness, and also helps prepare educators to support learning environments where youth can be self-sufficient.
