Nursing School Honors Sister Rosemary Donley at McGinley-Rice Conference

The School of Nursing honored Sister Rosemary Donley, S.C., during the 10th annual McGinley-Rice Symposium Oct. 17.

Donley, nursing professor and the Jacques Laval Chair for Justice for Vulnerable Populations, coordinates the conference each year. She joined the nursing school in 2009 and was drawn to Duquesne University’s commitment to social justice.

The McGinley-Rice Symposium focuses on a vulnerable population and aims to increase awareness and calls for action. It has brought special attention to immigrants, the elderly, those with addiction, mental illness and disabilities, and more.
