Red Masquers to Present Dale’s ‘Endeavor Mind’

The Red Masquers will next perform Endeavor Mind, inspired by the legend of Faust and television’s The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror.

Endeavor MindWritten by Kim Z. Dale and directed by Adjunct Theater Arts Instructor Jill Jeffrey, Endeavor Mind tells of corporate science, human biology, family dynamics and intellectual aspiration in a dystopian society.

Character Claudine, a brilliant academic, wonders if she has settled for a family and boring job instead of doing more with her life. She decides to participate in a new brain-enhancing technology developed by a billionaire tech genius, but the experiment has unintended consequences for her and those she loves.

Endeavor Mind, which is free to University employees, staff and students who show their Duquesne ID, starts Thursday, Nov. 14, and concludes Saturday, Nov. 23. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., in the Genesius Theater.
