Get Healthier! Campus Community Invited to Fitness Equipment Lunch and Learn

The Recreation Department will host a fitness equipment orientation lunch and learn for all Duquesne faculty and staff Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. on the second floor of the Power Center. Workout clothes aren’t necessary to attend this orientation.

Wellness in Motion

During the event, which is part of the Wellness in Motion initiative to help employees be healthier, attendees will learn:

  • How to set up fitness equipment to suit individual needs and reduce injury
  • The basics of a good strength training workout that includes sets, reps and resistance to help reach exercise goals
  • The benefits of weight training and the best way to maximize workouts.

To register for this event, email Amber Lasure, assistant director of Wellness and Fitness. Individual fitness orientations also are available for anyone who cannot attend on Feb. 12.
