Introduced to campus by the Office of Computing and Technology Services (CTS) more than a year ago, MFA is the new standard for account security on the internet. It pairs something that users know, like their MultiPass username and password, with something they have, like a smartphone or security key, to provide secure access to the University’s online services.

CTS recommends employees enroll now to allow time to become familiar with using Duo. Most employees choose to enroll their smartphone with the Duo Mobile app installed, but other options are available.

In addition, CTS is hosting Duo workshops on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon on the second floor of the Union. Employees can attend and get hands-on assistance with enrolling in Duo MFA and learn more about how to use it.

Visit www.duq.edu/duo and click “Enroll in Duo MFA” for instructions on adding MFA to your MultiPass account. For more information, contact the CTS Help Desk at 412.396.4357 or help@duq.edu.
