Deadline Approaches to Earn Bonus Wellness in Motion Dollars
Employees are reminded that the Wellness in Motion program deadline to earn wellness dollars for the 2019-2020 benefits year is Tuesday, June 30. The online assessment and other activities are simple to complete, even while under quarantine.
Eligible employees and their spouses who are enrolled in a University-sponsored medical plan have an opportunity to earn up to $300 each to help offset out-of-pocket medical costs, such as deductibles and coinsurance.
How to Get Started
While the University offers one Wellness in Motion program, both medical plans provide customized online wellness platforms: Cigna’s MotivateMe platform and UPMC Health Plan’s HealthyU platform.
Create an Online Profile with a Medical Vendor
Employees who haven’t already done so should create an online profile with their current medical vendor (Cigna or UPMC Health Plan). A one-time online profile must be made for both the employee and eligible spouse. Instructions are available at duq.edu/benefits.
Complete an Online Health Assessment with Medical Vendor
Login to the online profile with your medical vendor (Cigna or UPMC Health Plan) to complete the confidential online health assessment. Eligible spouses also must login with their own online profile.
Complete Online Wellness in Motion Activities Listed Under the Online Profile
Here are just a few that are offered:
- Health coaching
- Condition management
- Immunizations
- Events sponsored by the benefits office
- Maternity
- Cancer screenings.
Optional: Schedule Your Screening
If state quarantine mandates change, set up an appointment with your primary care physician for an annual prevention exam and to obtain a biometric screening to receive credit for this activity prior to June 30.
