Grants Received

Funds totaling $247,105 were recently received by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES), the DU CARES office and the School of Education.

• John Stolz, BSNES, $140,300, from the Colcom Foundation, for Surveying of Well Water Quality in Western Pennsylvania in Areas with Unconventional Gas Drilling.
• Daniel Gittins, DU CARES Office, $78,305, from the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, to educate the general student population with targeted programming delivered to high-risk student groups on issues surrounding opiate drugs.
• Darius Prier, School of Education, $28,500, from the McElhattan Foundation, to support the Project Hope Initiative.
