OCT Updates HyFlex Classroom Information
The Office of Classroom Technologies (OCT) has made some updates regarding HyFlex classrooms and Zoom settings in those classrooms. These changes include:
- The home page of all classroom computer desktop browsers, such as IE, Edge, Chrome and Firefox, has been set to Blackboard. There is no need to log into DORI.
- When logging into Zoom, “Join with Computer Audio” will no longer appear. Zoom is set to automatically use computer audio.
- There is now no need to select “Dual Monitors” in the large flat-panel classrooms. “Dual Monitors” is now the default setting.
- Mirroring has been turned off. Writing in the classroom will be displayed correctly on the room’s webcam feed.
- When sharing audio/video files, “Share Computer Audio” is now permanently selected.
- The only option for recording the Zoom session is “to the cloud.”
- The meeting controls should always appear on the Zoom screen.
