Registration Open for Fall 2020 Virtual Professional Training Sessions

Registration is now open for the Fall 2020 virtual Training Pathways to Professional Success program for Duquesne employees, who can customize their path and only take the classes they need or “set a path” to complete all trainings.

  • Thursday, Oct. 8, 9 to 10:30 a.m., Documentation, Employee Performance & EAP (blue only)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 13, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Pathway to Resolving Conflict without Blame (red only)
  • Thursday, Oct. 15, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Managing an Exceptional Multigenerational Team (blue only)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Employment and Payroll Processing (blue only)
  • Thursday, Oct. 22, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Pathway to Effective Presentation Skills: Design, Deliver & Move Audiences (red only)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Work Time Management, Recordkeeping and Understanding FLSA (blue only)
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m. to noon, Microsoft Outlook Intermediate (blue and red).

A new Pathway to Emotional Intelligence for Workplace Success workshop also is available this year for administrative and clerical staff. The virtual workshop will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. In this session, participants will:

  • Learn the four competencies of emotional intelligence (EI) and their value, personally and professionally
  • Recognize the power of emotion and how it impacts potential
  • Discover a framework to develop EI competencies to make more informed choices
  • Identify strategies to enhance EI in various situations and develop potential
  • Create an action plan to sustain EI throughout their daily lives.

The Blue Pathway (blue only) training is for supervisors and managers, and Red Pathway (red only) training is for administrative support staff and non-managers. Combined trainings for both Red and Blue Pathways are also indicated. Most trainings are free, but a $50 fee applies for all Microsoft trainings.
