Cigna Again Honors Duquesne with the Well-Being Award
For the fourth consecutive year, the University has received the 2020 Cigna Well-Being Award® for Outstanding Culture of Well-Being in recognition of its ongoing commitment to employee health and wellness. The award is the highest honor within the program.
Cigna noted that Duquesne’ s application stood out among the competition and was evaluated based on five areas of well-being excellence. As a multi-year applicant and winner, Cigna conveyed the University’s fourth consecutive award as “an incredible accomplishment for which the entire Duquesne team should be very proud.”
Duquesne employees have access to many on-campus health and wellness programs and services, such as fitness classes, blood pressure screenings, flu shots and information on healthy-eating options.
The Duquesne Wellness in Motion program for eligible employees and their spouses helps offset out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, coinsurance and other medical related expenses. Participants can earn up to $600 in Wellness-in-Motion dollars by completing an annual physical, online health assessment and other wellness activities by Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Cigna and UPMC health plans offer additional opportunities to stay healthy with discounts on gym memberships, smoking/tobacco-cessation programs and more.
