  • Heather Allen, a graduate student of Dr. Sarah Woodley, BSNES, a $42,730 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, for Investigation of Cell-Type Specific Contributions to Bladder Pain Modulation in the Central Amygdala.
  • Dr. Gretchen Generett, School of Education, $15,000, from the John R. and Margaret S. McCartan Charitable Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation of Westmoreland County, for the Project Hope Initiative.
  • Dr. Rick McCown, School of Education, and Dr. Norm Conti, Liberal Arts, $5,000, from the Opportunity Fund, for Elsinore-Bennu Think Tank Senior Community Outreach.
  • SBDC, $2,000, from the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, to support the ENGAGE! Program. Rich Longo, director of the SBDC, will administer the award.
