‘U.S. News’ Recognizes Online Excellence in Nursing, Other Programs
Online programs offered by Duquesne have been named among the top in the country, according to the 2021 U.S. News and World Report Best Online Programs.
A recognized pioneer in online graduate learning, the School of Nursing was ranked in the following categories as a testament to its horizon-expanding educational opportunities:
- Master’s in Nursing Education, No. 3
- Master’s in Nursing Administration, No. 4
- Master’s in Nursing—Family Nurse Practitioner, No. 5
- Master’s in Nursing for Veterans, No. 12
- Master’s in Nursing, No. 38.
Additionally, Duquesne climbed 71 spots from last year and was ranked No. 42 in the Bachelors Programs category. The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business’ Master’s in Business programs jumped two spots to No. 80 on business school rankings. The School of Education’s Online Master’s in Education tied for No. 142 on its respective list.
U.S. News has expanded the rankings to its largest number yet, with 1,641 programs assessed. These rankings do not include degree programs that were delivered temporarily online in 2020 as many colleges shifted to remote instruction.
In developing the 2021 Best Online Programs rankings, U.S. News assessed online colleges based on five general categories—engagement, services and technology, faculty credentials and training, expert surveys, and student excellence.
