Special Olympic International Officer Conclude Global Health Speaker Series

Join Dr. Loretta Claiborne, chief inspiration officer for Special Olympics International, for the final virtual session of the semester’s Père Jacques Laval C.S.Sp., Global Public Health Speaker Series.

Claiborne will present I Too Have a Voice, Please Listen to Me! Tuesday, April 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. via Zoom. Members of the Duquesne community are invited to learn together during the session, which is sponsored by the Center for African Studies.

Claiborne will share some of her personal struggles in trying to receive the most basic health care and the importance of having a voice and being heard. She also will discuss global health care initiatives championed by Special Olympics International for inclusive health for persons with intellectual disability.

Attendees are asked to RSVP online by Friday, April 9. The Zoom link will be emailed the morning of the event.
