Grants Received

Funds totaling $272,842 were recently received by the School of Pharmacy, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES).

• Dr. Jennifer Elliott, School of Pharmacy, $57,200, from the Allegheny County Health Department, to support staff members to administer the COVID-19 vaccine at Central Baptist Church as part of the county’s mass COVID-19 vaccination program.
• Dr. Jennifer Elliott, School of Pharmacy, $40,000, from the Jefferson Regional Foundation, for Expansion of Surveillance and Treatment of Asthma in Mon Valley Schoolchildren.
• SBDC, $12,983, from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, passed through Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, to support the Northwestern Region PREP program.
• SBDC, $157,659, from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, passed through Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, to support the Southwestern Region PREP program.
• Dr. Phillip Auron, BSNES, $5,000, from the Interleukin Foundation, to support research being conducted by doctoral biology student, David A. Macar.
