  • Dr. John Stolz, Center for Environmental Research and Education, $120,000, from the Heinz Endowments, for the project Unconventional Drilling Wastes as a Source of Radioactivity, Bromide and Light Hydrocarbons Affecting Drinking Water Sources.
  • Asia Parker, a student under the supervision of Dr. Fatiha Benmokhtar, Department of Physics, $6,000, from the JSA Initiatives Fund (IF) at Jefferson Science Associates, LLC, to support Parker’s participation in the JSA Minority/Female Undergraduate Research Assistantship (M/FURA) program at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.
  • Dr. Rebecca Kronk, School of Nursing, and Dr. Rita Mihailescu, the Department of Chemistry, $162,000, from the National Institutes of Health, as part of a five-year grant to support Genomic Competencies for Nurses from Theory to Application: An Online Long Course.
